Sustaining Engineering Manager
The Sustaining Engineering Manager will lead a dynamic team focused on the ongoing support and enhancement of our product portfolio. This role is essential in managing projects to meet defined goals and timelines while driving cost savings and assembly efficiency. The Sustaining Engineering Manager will collaborate with quality team in ensuring adherence to quality standards and ASME code compliance to safeguard the organization’s integrity and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Effectively manage sustaining engineering team members to complete projects within the expected goals and timeline.
- Manage sustaining activities to achieve or exceed cost savings and assembly time reductions.
- Communicate project requirements to internal and external stakeholders. Must be able to collaborate effectively with product management, manufacturing, and purchasing teams as well as suppliers and certification agencies to execute projects.
- Assist in creating clear engineering documentation including 3D assemblies, drawings, Engineering Change Orders, and technical reports as needed to support product releases and sustaining evaluations.
- Identify and scope the required work. Organize and build detailed plans including schedules, resource budgets, quality and risk management plans, and verification and validation plans. Prioritize work and organize timely responses to urgent situations.
- Monitor project risks and identify ways to prevent risks. Anticipate obstacles and take appropriate action to resolve issues to ensure success of project.
- Oversee the investigation and evaluation of existing technologies.
- Monitor documentation maintenance throughout all phases of research and development.
- Generate and maintain product development documentation (engineering change requests, engineering filing system, user manuals, test specifications, etc.).
- Work with the Engineering and Manufacturing team to have product prototypes created and perform product testing for internal evaluation as well as for customer and consumer testing/feedback. Work with outside Testing labs i.e. UL, ETL etc. for proper third party testing is completed and certifications are achieved.
- Support in the creation of solid works 3D and 2D drawings for product offerings.
- Ensure all products and processes comply with relevant standards, including ASME guidelines, to maintain quality and safety.
- Periodic interaction required with other engineers and as well as contractors and customers.
- Participate in team meetings in creating and maintaining project timelines and action items through implementation.
- Provide technical support for solving product quality problems as needed.
- Recommend and/or verify implementation of appropriate root cause and corrective action for quality issues, in coordination with management, engineering and purchasing.
- Monitor and update the quality manual in an on-going manner.
- Work with AI, vendors, and/or 3rd party customer inspectors on product inspections.
- Maintain record keeping of all welder certifications and inspect welders’ work log
- Participate in vendor selection and incoming quality requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering and 7-10 years of relevant work experience, with proven management experience in leading engineering teams.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD/Solid Works is required.
- Working knowledge of DFMA.
- Ability to have a clear understanding of the engineering department’s processes of building products (standard and customized).
- Knowledge of industry quality systems and standards, such as ASME, ANSI, ASTM, & AWS preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing engineering and quality control processes.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a focus on results.

Junior Sales Engineer
DHT is offering an exciting opportunity for a Jr. Sales Engineer to join their fast-growing team in the HVAC industry. The Jr. Sales Engineer will play a key role in supporting heat transfer product sales, both on job sites and through in-office client relationships. To achieve this, the Jr. Sales Engineer will work closely with manufacturer representatives, contractors and facilities personnel throughout the NY/NJ area to ensure that sales goals are met, and customers are satisfied. The Jr. Sales Engineer is also responsible for the overall product selection and design meet application needs including functionality, material, and test requirements while staying within cost targets.
DHT is committed to providing the necessary support and training to ensure the success of this role. As a result, the Jr. Sales Engineer will be trained to become a technical advisor and advocate for the products, providing expert advice to clients on product selection and use.

This is a hybrid position where 75% will be on job sites or conducting customer visits in the NY/NJ metropolitan area. The remaining 25% of the time will be spent working from home and/ or at the DHT main office in Towaco, NJ.
Responsibilities Include:
- Conduct site visits to measure and gather data, evaluate product selection, and provide quotes.
- Call on major accounts, negotiate sales prices and discounts in consultation with management.

Assembler
Assemble and test a variety of tube bundles, coils, and shells. The assembler will complete final assembly, testing, and quality control of all parts. Assemble all units in Hydro and Final assembly, including all piping, insulation, and wiring, along with final testing. Must be able to read and follow work orders, blueprints, and work instructions to complete units as designed and to quality standards. Responsible for utilizing the Quality Traveler system to track all critical-to-quality metrics and ensure all products are built to acceptable design and assembly standards.

- Handle light, heavy and average weight parts.

Material Handler
A Material Handler handles, moves and stores materials within the manufacturing floor. The main duties include loading and unloading of different items, recording inventory statuses and making sure deliveries properly match purchase orders. The Material Handler possesses a customer focused attitude and continuous improvement mindset, as well as has the base knowledge receiving, shipping, and inventory controls.
Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading trucks, as well as delivering received materials.
- Daily tagging, identification, and detailed inspection of materials, including material matching to POs and packaging slips.
- Keeping a well-maintained and updated account of stock and inventory utilizing the Kanban system. Utilizing visual material signals to re-order and requisition parts.
- Handling organization and presentation of inventory (parts rotation, restocking bins, etc.).
- Posting and logging inventory receipts into the system.
- Protecting inventory from damage, corrosion, and deterioration.
- Repackaging inventory as needed.
- Copying and distributing documents to accounting.
- Collaborating with internal departments on receiving or shipping issues such as locating missing packages, fixing incorrect deliveries, and replacing damaged products.
- Arranging shipping via UPS, FEDEX, LTL, etc.
- Keeping all material handling equipment in the best condition by conducting regular maintenance.
Qualifications:
- Experience with shipping and receiving processes and procedures.
- Experience performing order processing operations related to storage and retrieval of goods within a manufacturing/warehouse distribution center.
- Must be computer literate with MRP system knowledge, ability to use email, and process FEDEX and UPS. ERP knowledge and experience a plus.

Perform a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies. Determine and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units. Make setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications. - Assemble and test a variety of tube bundles, coils, and shells.

- Maintain dimensional accuracy on assemblies utilizing torque wrenches, fixtures, tooling, gages and other measuring devices.
- Perform precision harness wiring assembly tasks according to engineering drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams, ensuring accuracy.
- Read and follow work orders, blueprints, and work instructions to complete units’ assembly as designed and to established quality standards.
- Fit parts to close tolerances.
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience in mechanical/ electrical assembly in a manufacturing environment.
- Technical School Degree or Completion of an Apprenticeship Program is desired.
- English comprehension is a must with good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- General understanding of mechanical blueprints and highly sophisticated equipment.
- Ability to listen and learn from instructions.

The Brazer will be responsible for manufacturing various brazed components to include coils, plates, tubes, etc to braze all components to the highest quality level and standard per ASME specifications.

- Assemble components and brazing parts
- Ensure quality of brazed components.
